Where It All Began
At Tietoturvapankki, we noticed the same problem repeatedly: SMEs wanted to develop their operations and meet their customers’ quality and responsibility requirements, but implementing ISO standards felt complicated, burdensome, and even impossible. Something clearer and more practical was needed.
Ilkka Sillanpää and Henrik Salmela decided to do something about it. Ilkka brought extensive experience in building management systems across various industries. Henrik contributed software development expertise and a fresh perspective on how digitalizing processes could genuinely simplify everyday work. They wanted to combine expert work and software into one clear solution tailored for SMEs.
Joining them was Toni Järveläinen, who had long helped companies develop sales and customer relations. Toni knew the crucial role ISO certifications play in a company's competitiveness – and how, when properly built, they can support sales and customer relationships.
Together, we created Tietoturvapankki: a service where an expert supports you, software backs you up, and systems are built around the client’s daily reality. The first versions of Laatupankki were developed in close collaboration with pilot customers from various industries – including construction, service, and industrial companies. This early cooperation ensured that the solution meets real needs and suits a wide range of SMEs.
