Where It All Began

At Tietoturvapankki, we noticed the same challenge repeatedly: SMEs wanted to improve their operations and meet their customers’ quality and responsibility demands, but implementing ISO standards felt complicated, heavy, and even impossible. Something clearer and more practical was needed.

Ilkka Sillanpää and Henrik Salmela decided to take action. Ilkka brought extensive experience building management systems across industries. Henrik contributed software development expertise and a fresh perspective on how digitalizing processes could truly simplify daily work. They aimed to combine expert work and software into a clear solution tailored for SMEs.

Joining them was Toni Järveläinen, who had long helped companies develop sales and customer relationships. Toni understood the critical role of ISO certifications for competitiveness – and how, if built correctly, they can support sales and client relations.

Together we created Tietoturvapankki: a service where an expert walks alongside you, software supports you, and systems are built around the customer’s everyday needs. The first versions of Laatupankki were developed closely with pilot customers from diverse sectors, including construction, services, and industry. This early collaboration ensured the solution meets real needs and suits a wide range of SMEs.
