Where it all began

At Tietoturvapankki, we repeatedly encountered the same challenge: SMEs wanted to improve their operations and meet their customers' quality and sustainability requirements, but implementing ISO standards felt complex, burdensome and even impossible. There was a need for something clearer and more practical.

Ilkka Sillanpää and Henrik Salmela decided to do something about it. Ilkka brought extensive experience in building management systems across a range of industries. Henrik contributed software development expertise and a fresh perspective on how digitalising processes could genuinely make everyday work easier. They wanted to combine expert services and software into one clear solution designed for SMEs.

Toni Järveläinen then joined the team, having helped companies develop their sales and customer relationships for many years. Toni understood the important role ISO certifications play in a company's competitiveness – and how, when built properly, they can support sales and customer relationships.

Together, we created Tietoturvapankki: a service where an expert works alongside you, software supports you, and systems are built around the realities of the customer's daily operations. The first versions of Laatupankki were developed in close collaboration with pilot customers from a range of industries – including construction, service and manufacturing companies. This early collaboration ensured that the solution meets real needs and is suitable for a wide range of SMEs. Tietoturvapankki is not an IT project, but a partner that helps develop your company's quality, sustainability and safety.
